Advent Health Shawnee Mission, Kansas City – located in suburban Kansas City – is seeking a dynamic, energetic, and team‑oriented fellowship‑trained oncologist with a specialized focus in breast cancer. The candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering cutting‑edge, patient‑centered care to individuals diagnosed with breast cancer while contributing to general oncology services. We are looking to grow our subspecialty oncology programs in breast, thoracic, GI, and GU.

We have six oncologists in our group today and are continuing to expand, both in specialization and in our new $70 million Cancer Institute located on the Shawnee Mission campus. The physician team continues to grow around Gyn Oncology, Breast Oncology, Thoracic Oncology, Neuro Oncology, and other surgical oncology specialties. Call rotation will be shared with the other physicians in the practice, including weekends.

Physicians will have access to research, clinical trials, tumor boards, and a multidisciplinary care team consisting of nurse navigators, dietitians, social workers, oncology rehabilitation, palliative medicine, and patient financial navigators.

• 1 in 6 call rotation
• Approximately 20 patients daily
• 24‑hour call (inpatient and cover outpatient clinic call at night)
• EMR – Epic
• Guaranteed initial base salary with a wRVU production component

• Board certification in Internal Medicine with subspecialty certification or eligibility in Hematology and Medical Oncology with significant experience or interest in breast cancer management
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff, and patients
