Embark on a rewarding contract assignment as a School Psychologist serving K-12 students in a supportive educational environment near Shawnee, KS. This role is tailored for professionals passionate about making a profound impact on students with intense disabilities, including those who are non-verbal, physically impaired, or dependent on assistive technology for communication. The assignment spans the  school year, from August 12 through May 21, offering diverse opportunities across multiple campus sites.

Candidates must be committed to in-person engagement and demonstrate adaptability in supporting students with unique and complex needs. The position provides an exceptional platform to collaborate with educational staff and utilize specialized assessment skills in a dynamic setting.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Certified/licensed School Psychologist
  • Experience with K-12 student populations, specifically those with significant disabilities
  • Proficient in conducting assessments with students using assistive communication devices
  • Familiarity with developing and implementing strategies for students with physical and cognitive challenges
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Willingness to travel between schools as required
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and psychological testing for students with intensive support needs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to interpret results and contribute to individualized educational planning
  • Recommend interventions and supports tailored to each student's abilities and needs
  • Provide consultation and support to teachers, families, and support staff regarding best practices for communication and learning
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in accordance with district and regulatory guidelines
