Qualifications
  • Masters Degree preferred;
    Bachelors required
  • Valid Kansas Teaching Licensure with Special Education Certification required
  • Minimum 5 years teaching experience in special education preferred
Role Overview

Support the implementation of the district curriculum for high school students with low incidence special education needs. Provide supervision and evaluation of all students within the teaching assignment.

Job Details
  • In‑person only
  • Schedule:

    Monday–Friday, 7:20 am–3:20 pm (including lunch break): 37.5 hrs/week
  • Dates:
    Aug 9 2026 – May 20 2027
Key Responsibilities
  • Accommodate, modify, and adapt lessons and curriculum to meet individual student needs and IEP goals
  • Assist in the facilitation and development of IEP meetings and plans
  • Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to developmental levels and interests of students
  • Set and communicate clear expectations for classroom behavior, apply positive reinforcement or behavior modification techniques as needed, and assist in developing and implementing student behavior intervention plans
