Hourly Compensation Range: $26.44 - $31.25 DOE

The Office of the Kansas Attorney General (OAG) is accepting applications to fill a Youth Safety Education Coordinator position which will be responsible for implementing the educational, outreach and reporting requirements as required by statute (K.S.A. 21-5515).

All employees within the Office of the Kansas Attorney General are expected to perform work duties in an objective, unbiased, and independent manner.
Primary Duties:
* Develop, maintain, and update educational materials and resources regarding sexual extortion as defined in K.S.A. 21-5515 for students, parents, educators, law enforcement, and the public.
* Coordinate statewide education and awareness efforts related to sexual extortion prevention, including development and implementation of outreach strategies and public information campaigns.
* Collaborate with the Kansas State Board of Education, school districts, and educational stakeholders to facilitate distribution and use of educational materials in schools statewide.
* Partner with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, victim service providers, and community organizations to promote awareness, prevention, and response to sexual extortion.
* Provide training, presentations, and technical assistance to schools, educators, law enforcement, and community partners on sexual extortion prevention, reporting, and response.
* Serve as the Attorney General's Office subject matter expert and liaison on sexual extortion education and prevention, responding to requests for information, training, and resources.
* Develop and maintain systems to track outreach activities, educational material distribution, training participation, and program outcomes.
* Monitor emerging trends, best practices, and legislative developments related to sexual extortion and youth online safety to inform program improvements.
* Prepare and submit an annual report, on or before July 1, 2027, and annually thereafter, regarding implementation and outreach efforts to the Governor, President and Minority Leader of the Senate, Speaker and Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, and the State Board of Education.
* Perform other related duties as assigned to support youth safety, prevention, and Attorney General's Office initiatives.

Minimum Requirement(s):
* Bachelor's degree in education, criminal justice, public administration, communications, social work, public health, or a related field
* Experience in one or more of the following areas:
* Education or training development
* Public outreach or community engagement
* Youth services or victim services
* Law enforcement or school collaboration
* Program coordination or project management
* Strong proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel applications required.
* A valid driver's license is required when operating a state vehicle, a private vehicle, or a rental vehicle for the benefit of the State.
Preferred Requirement(s):
* Strong public speaking and presentation skills, including ability to deliver trainings and represent the Office at statewide events.
* Strong written communication skills, including report writing, educational content development, and professional correspondence.
* Ability to collaborate effectively with schools, law enforcement agencies, state agencies, and community organizations.
