Job Summary

The Enrollment Counselor serves as the engaging face of Sheridan College, helping prospective students discover their educational opportunities and pathways. This role delivers exceptional customer service and proactive outreach to guide students from their first inquiry to graduation. Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license required; must be insurable and eligible to drive rental vehicles.

Job Duties
  • Recruitment & Outreach (40%)
    • Coordinate on‑campus and off‑campus recruitment activities tailored for prospective students.
    • Represent the institution at high school visits, regional college fairs, community events, and special promotional programs.
  • Systems Utilization & Marketing Support (10%)
    • Effectively utilize the institutional Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software to track prospective students and manage the enrollment pipeline.
    • Collaborate on marketing initiatives, assisting with the development of advertising programs, recruitment publications, and digital outreach materials.
  • Admissions Counseling & Family Guidance (10%)
    • Serve as a dedicated resource for prospective students and their families, offering clear direction through every stage of the college enrollment process.
    • Provide in‑depth counseling to new students regarding application requirements, deadlines, and institutional onboarding procedures.
  • Academic Advising & Educational Planning (35%)
    • Deliver essential academic advising and support to prospective and incoming students to align their personal and career goals with institutional programs.
    • Assist students in mapping out clear, comprehensive educational plans and navigating the course registration process.
    • Provide proactive guidance on degree requirements, course sequencing, and institutional academic policies.
  • Institutional Support (5%)
    • Perform related duties as assigned to support the goals of the department and the broader mission of the institution.
