Design Engineer II (Experiential / Built Environment)

• Create 3D models and detailed drawings using Solid Works.
• Assist in translating design intent into fabrication‑ready documentation.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Design, Project Management, and Production.
• Learn and apply fabrication methods, materials, and industry standards.
• Support project teams in solving technical challenges during design and production.
• Contribute to maintaining accuracy, quality, and consistency across deliverables.

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience (internships or project work included).
• Technically proficient at an advanced level with Solid Works, including top‑down or in‑context modeling.
• Technically proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Adobe Illustrator.
• Exposure to fabrication methods (wood, metal, plastics, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings (architectural or mechanical is a plus).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Experience with Rhino, Grasshopper, or Adobe Illustrator.
• Interest in experiential design, exhibits, or themed environments.

• The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, climb, crouch, or crawl.
