Design Engineer II (Experiential / Built Environment)

What You’ll Do- Create 3D models and detailed drawings using Solid Works.
- Assist in translating design intent into fabrication‑ready documentation.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Design, Project Management, and Production.
- Learn and apply fabrication methods, materials, and industry standards.
- Support project teams in solving technical challenges during design and production.
- Contribute to maintaining accuracy, quality, and consistency across deliverables.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience (internships or project work included).
- Technically proficient at an advanced level with Solid Works, including top‑down or in‑context modeling.
- Technically proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Adobe Illustrator.
- Exposure to fabrication methods (wood, metal, plastics, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings (architectural or mechanical is a plus).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with Rhino, Grasshopper, or Adobe Illustrator.
- Interest in experiential design, exhibits, or themed environments.

- The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, climb, crouch, or crawl.
- The employee must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
