Senior Plant Engineer

Senior Plant Engineer – Shawnee, KS

We are looking for a Senior Plant Engineer to develop and implement manufacturing process solutions, lead projects, direct discipline teams, coach junior members, and provide engineering support for production & process equipment.

• Makes independent decisions within defined areas of responsibility and serves as a consultant to management.
• Advances technical project proposals to senior management and ensures successful completion, influencing resource commitment at divisional or departmental level.
• Manages capital projects, develops and tracks budgets.
• Continuously improves and supports existing production equipment for efficient operation.
• Interfaces with internal and external resources to transfer process knowledge to the manufacturing environment.
• Ensures all engineering activities comply with applicable engineering standards, codes, cGMP, FDA and EU guidelines, and safety and environmental procedures.
• Reviews and approves standard operating procedures describing validation principles and activities.
• Participates in risk analyses for qualifications and validations with Quality, Production and MEU.
• Actively participates in all phases of equipment life cycle, supporting development of specifications, design, installation of equipment, systems, facilities, utilities, and processes to ensure compliance with cGMP requirements.

• 5+ years working experience in a cGMP environment.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• Pharmaceutical background preferred; experience in sterile manufacturing and regulatory knowledge.
