The Fiscal Services Division of the Kansas State Treasurer's Office operates as the state's bank, managing the receipt and disbursement of state funds. The office provides trustee services for various state programs and bond issues, ensuring funds are properly administered and accurately accounted for. The division also oversees the collateralization of public deposits, maintains compliance with the state monies law, and safeguards public resources to support the efficient operation of Kansas government.

Position Overview
The Kansas State Treasurer's Office is seeking a detail-oriented and organized professional to support collateral management and state deposit programs. This role serves as a key point of contact for financial institutions and public entities, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and effective communication across all related processes.
Key Responsibilities
Collateral Pool Management
* Serve as primary Vault Custodian, maintaining internal systems related to pledged securities
* Ensure public funds are secured with appropriate collateral and meet statutory requirements
* Monitor collateral levels and follow up with pledgees when deficiencies occur
* Perform verification procedures to validate submitted documentation
* Act as a primary contact for financial institutions and public entities participating in the Kansas Collateral Pool (KCP)
* Provide support and guidance on KCP and Vault system inquiries
State Deposits
* Oversee linked deposit loans administered by the State Treasurer's Office
* Process new linked deposit applications, ensuring all documentation and eligibility requirements are met
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in internal systems
Reporting
* Track and process monthly KCP reports, as well as semi-annual reports and notices for the Linked Deposit Loan Program
* Monitor custodial and deposit transactions, ensuring accurate recording for reporting and compliance purposes
Additional Duties
* Cross-train with team members to support operational continuity
* Assist with additional projects and responsibilities as assigned by management
Qualifications
* High School Diploma or equivalent required
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance or banking functions
* Relevant education may be substituted in lieu of experience, as determined by the agency
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
* Ability to manage multiple processes and maintain accurate records
* Effective communication and customer service skills
Preferred Skills
* Experience with collateral management
* Familiarity with public funds, compliance, or regulatory requirements
