Team Lead, Loan Coordinator
Summary:
The Loan Coordinator Team Lead (LC Lead) monitors and manages workflow of the loan coordinator team, tracks task turnaround times, trains new associates, and serves as subject‑matter expert for complex loan relationships and niche lending areas. The LC Lead supports the LC Manager and senior managers as needed.
- Monitors and manages team workload to ensure loans move efficiently and meet service level agreements.
- Serves as subject‑matter expert and primary point of contact for the Loan Coordinator Team and Relationship Manager group.
- Maintains strong knowledge of the bank's credit culture and advises Relationship Managers on deviations from standard practices.
- Assists Loan Coordinator Manager with annual reviews and development of training and progression plans.
- Acts as primary trainer for onboarding of new associates and may serve as backup trainer for other teams.
- Approves timesheets and time‑off requests to maintain adequate coverage.
- Serves as backup to the Loan Coordinator Manager as needed.
- Investigates and recommends methods to improve loan process competitiveness and effectiveness.
- Assists Coordinators with booking and funding attorney‑documented loans.
- Prepares monthly monitoring reports for Units and RM Team.
- Manages a small caseload (10–15 loans per month).
- Interacts verbally and in writing with clients to collect data, documents, and general service requests.
- Participates on internal committees and task forces as requested.
- Performs other essential duties of a Senior Loan Coordinator and other duties as assigned.
- Recent exposure and success in leading a process and/or individuals.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrates flexibility, versatility, commitment, and good judgment in a team‑oriented environment.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and proprietary bank systems.
- Independent, works under tight deadlines, and possesses strong organizational skills.
- Assists Loan Coordinator Manager in managing the Loan Coordinators.
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
- Associate’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of consumer and commercial loan coordinator experience.
- Strong knowledge of C&I, CRE, and consumer lending processes.
- Previous exposure to attorney‑prepared documentation.
- Proficient with personal computer operations, Microsoft Office.
- Experience with Bankway, Salesforce, Gmail, Workday.
- None.
- Travel: some, less than 10%.
