Position Summary:
This position requires technical procurement process in purchasing goods and services for the Kansas Department of Revenue (KDOR). This work involves reviewing purchase requests, determining method of procurement, investigating sources of supply, developing product standards and specifications, preparing requests for quotations, soliciting bids, evaluating bids, negotiating contracts, recommending awards, and making awards within delegated authority in accordance with state purchasing policies, laws, and regulations.
Communicates by telephone and/or written correspondence in addition to planning, coordinating, and participating in meetings with agency personnel, other state agencies and vendors.

Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum Qualifications:
Two years of experience in procuring commodities and services which includes preparing order specifications, estimates, bids, contracts and awarding contracts.
Preferred Experience:
Prefer experience in the SMART system.
