Position Summary & Responsibilities
Position Summary:
The Resource and Engagement Program Manager leads the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of comprehensive aging resource materials that connect older Kansans, their families, caregivers, and professionals with available services and supports throughout the state. The position collaborates with Commission subject matter experts and the Communications team to develop and maintain accurate, accessible, and engaging print and digital resources for statewide, Area Agency on Aging (AAA), Planning and Service Area (PSA), and other targeted audiences.
The Program Manager also promotes awareness of aging services through statewide outreach, stakeholder engagement, public presentations, and community events, serving as a key resource for improving access to aging programs and services across Kansas.
Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
Resource Development and Program Coordination:
* Develop, coordinate, and maintain comprehensive print and digital aging resource materials that provide accurate, current, and accessible information on programs and services available to older Kansans, their families, and caregivers.
* Collaborate with Commission subject matter experts to gather, organize, and develop content, and work with the Communications team to develop print and digital resource materials tailored for statewide, Area Agency on Aging (AAA), Planning and Service Area (PSA), and other targeted audiences.
* Develop and maintain processes for collecting, organizing, and updating resource content to ensure the timely incorporation of new and revised information.
* Coordinate with internal staff and external partners to identify emerging resources, service changes, and opportunities to enhance the quality and usefulness of aging information provided to the public.
Stakeholder Engagement and Outreach:
* Represent the Commission at conferences, stakeholder meetings, community events, and other public forums to promote awareness of aging resources, programs, and services.
* Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with Area Agencies on Aging, community organizations, service providers, and other stakeholders to support the accuracy and accessibility of aging resource materials.
* Gather feedback and resource information from stakeholders throughout the state to identify service changes, emerging needs, and opportunities to enhance resource materials.
* Plan and deliver presentations and educational sessions to increase awareness and understanding of aging programs, services, and available supports.
Resource Management and Continuous Improvement:
* Coordinate periodic reviews of resource content with Commission staff and partner organizations to ensure materials remain current, accurate, and comprehensive.
