We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Billing Specialist Palliative Care to join our team at Prairie Winds Hospice, a leading provider of end-of-life care in Shawnee, KS. As a Billing Specialist Palliative Care, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial operations of our hospice run smoothly, while also providing exceptional care and support to our patients and families.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately and efficiently process and manage billing and insurance claims for palliative care services
- Conduct thorough reviews of patient records to ensure accurate and complete documentation for billing purposes
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to obtain necessary information and resolve billing discrepancies
- Manage and maintain accurate records of patient billing and insurance claims
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers
- Meet or exceed billing productivity and accuracy standards

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred
- 2 years of experience in medical billing or a related field
