Job Overview
As a Technical Support Engineer
, you are responsible for maximizing customer service and VTS growth and profitability through effective and efficient communication with external and internal customers. You also will encourage a collaborative environment with an emphasis on technical knowledge and assistance, look for potential sales with each customer contact, document and pass on information to the appropriate personnel, and report to the VTS Technical Support Manager.
- Provide guidance to end users about equipment maintenance practices, schedules, and troubleshooting.
- Speak with customers and ask the necessary questions about their process to ensure that the oil, pumps, and motors are safe for their process applications.
- Research and recommend replacement pumps for old, obsolete equipment.
- Assist Edwards service and customer technicians with troubleshooting.
- Work closely with CSC, Service, Operations and Sales to provide feedback of performance and/or quality of Edwards equipment.
- Continue training to continuously grow personal knowledge of product and processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience/military experience.
- 5 years of experience in the operations, service, design and/or support of vacuum systems or at least 3 years of work experience required in a technical or manufacturing environment.
- Experience discussing directly with customers during the testing, installation, or maintenance and repair of equipment.
- Experience working in a manufacturing and/or electronics environment.
- Experience with interpreting mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
- Operations, process or programming design experience is a plus.
- Ability to build up relationships and network.
- Computer skills in all common Windows applications (Word, Excel, Access, and Project).
- Must be authorized to work in the US.

This role is fully remote, enabling you to work from your home base in the US. We value results over location and provide the tools and support you need to succeed from any location.
SalarySalary is based on average. Final salary may vary based on factors such as geographic location, experience, job‑related skills, internal peer equity, etc.
