Job Summary

As a Steel Welder, your primary responsibility will be to perform welding and fabrication tasks on steel structures and components. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of the welded joints, as well as contributing to the overall production process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welding and Fabrication:Perform welding tasks using various welding techniques (such as MIG, TIG, and ARC) to join steel components and structures. Follow welding procedures and specifications to ensure the quality and strength of the welds.
• Blueprint Interpretation:Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols to determine the welding requirements and specifications for each project.
• Material Preparation:
  Prepare materials for welding by cleaning, cutting, and shaping steel components as required. Ensure proper fit-up and alignment of the materials before welding.
• Weld Inspection:Inspect welded joints and structures to ensure they meet the required quality standards and specifications. Identify and address any defects or imperfections in the welds.
• Equipment Maintenance:Maintain and clean welding equipment and tools to ensure their proper functioning and longevity. Report any equipment malfunctions or issues to the supervisor.
• Safety Compliance:Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow proper safety protocols during welding operations.

Requirements:

• Welding
  
  Experience:
  
  1 year of experience as a steel welder or in a similar welding role.
• Welding Techniques:Proficiency in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and ARC welding.
• Blueprint Reading:Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
• Material Knowledge:Familiarity with different types of steel and their welding characteristics.
• Safety Awareness:Strong knowledge of welding safety procedures and practices.
• Attention to Detail:Keen attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and quality of the welds.
• Physical Stamina:Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials and working in various positions.
