Fabricator Assembler – Metal Products
This role focuses on fabricating, assembling, and packaging full-view metal product sections in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will work hands-on with aluminum, glass, and related materials, using hand and power tools to produce high-quality components that meet precise specifications. The position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to read assembly drawings, and a commitment to safety and quality standards throughout the production process.
Responsibilities- Determine daily production requirements and prioritize tasks to meet scheduling and output goals.
- Select appropriate materials for each job and ensure adequate supplies are available at the workstation.
- Cut and drill aluminum rails and components to specified dimensions using hand and power tools.
- Cut glass or transparent materials to required dimensions and apply weather stripping accurately.
- Assemble full-view product sections according to assembly drawings, work instructions, and quality standards.
- Inspect assembled sections for accuracy, quality, and completeness before packaging.
- Package finished sections securely to prevent damage during handling and shipment.
- Assist other production departments as needed to support overall manufacturing operations.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on fabrication equipment, tools, and workstations.
- Coordinate material flow to ensure production schedules are maintained and downtime is minimized.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by following housekeeping and 5S practices.
- Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures, including proper use of tools and equipment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support team and facility needs.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations and measurements accurately.
- Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Experience using measuring devices such as tape measures, templates, guides, and other precision tools.
- Ability to safely operate hand tools, saws, drills, and other fabrication equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to use hand and power tools in an assembly or fabrication setting.
- Strong attention to detail and a consistent commitment to product quality.
- Ability to manage production and material flow, prioritize work, and meet daily production goals while maintaining safety and quality.
- Capability to work effectively in a fast-paced industrial environment.
- Physical ability to lift up to 45 lbs. independently on a frequent basis and perform team lifts for heavier items.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (8–12 hours per shift).
- Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, climb stairs, and perform repetitive motions as needed.
- Ability to use hands, wrists, and fingers regularly throughout the shift.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and manufacturing conditions.
Skills & Qualifications
- Manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, carpentry, or mechanical experience preferred.
- Familiarity with fabrication processes such as cutting, drilling, and basic welding is beneficial.
- Experience working with aluminum, glass, or transparent materials is an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain a clean and efficient work area.
- Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work as part of a collaborative production team.
