Ministry Director of Youth Discipleship & Outreach – Oak Hills Presbyterian Church

Under the supervision and direction of the pastor and session, the Ministry Director for Youth Discipleship & Outreach will provide vision, oversight, and leadership for discipleship and outreach ministries at Oak Hills, including youth, young adults, and community outreach.

  Ability to receive and adopt the Westminster Standards and the Reformed church doctrine.
• Education:
  
  Completed a college degree and engaged in or planning to pursue a Master of Divinity (or equivalent).
• Ministry Giftedness & Passion:
  Evangelism, leadership (organizing and empowering volunteers), administration (planning and strategy), self‑initiating and self‑driven passion for youth and their spiritual development.
• Experience:
  
  Prior ministry leadership experience with youth preferred.

• Provide vision, organize, and lead the discipleship of youth (grades 6‑12), including evaluating and selecting programming and curriculum.
• Recruit, train, and encourage volunteers to participate in youth discipleship.
• Develop the ministry, reaching non‑churched youth, improving facilities, expanding discipleship and service opportunities, and planning special events.
• Engage in personal discipleship relationships with youth.
• Walk alongside visitors or parents newly entering the ministry to navigate youth involvement.
• Collaborate with Presbytery and local PCA churches on joint ministry efforts.
• Develop and oversee a ministry for college‑aged and recent college graduate young adults.
• Build connections with local colleges and universities as an outreach.
• Maintain relationships with the RUF ministries at KU and K‑State to support graduates moving to the KC area.
• Encourage and facilitate young adults’ assimilation into Oak Hills life and ministry.
• Provide training and encouragement for personal evangelism.
• Strategize avenues for the church to increase its presence and impact in the community for the gospel’s sake.
• Oversee and facilitate the church’s internet presence for outreach.
• Champion opportunities for the church to serve the community.
• Organize and lead mission trips.
• Assist the pastor with general pastoral needs such as Sunday liturgy, occasional preaching, and hospital visits.

Full‑time call. $50,000–$60,000 annual salary based on level of experience and education, plus benefits. Full call package will be discussed during the interview process.
