RN Emergency Room | Shawnee, Kansas

An exciting contract opportunity is available for experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurses ready to make a vital contribution in a fast-paced clinical environment. This critical care assignment is for 13 weeks, and offers the chance to work alongside a dedicated multidisciplinary team, providing high-quality patient care in the emergency setting.

Schedule/

Hours:

• 3 x 12-hour night shifts, 6:45pm to 7:15am
• Two positions available at 36 hours per week
• One position available at 48 hours per week

Essential

Qualifications:

• Current and active Kansas RN license (unencumbered)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
• Previous experience as an ER Registered Nurse is strongly preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care in emergency situations, responding quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition
• Triage, assess, and manage acute illnesses, injuries, and trauma in accordance with standardized procedures
• Communicate effectively with physicians, staff, patients, and family members to ensure optimal outcomes
• Document nursing assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record
• Collaborate closely with a multi-disciplinary team to coordinate and provide top-tier emergency care
• Support and adhere to regulatory standards and hospital protocols at all times
