Job Shift Any Education  Level High School## Description Provides direct and indirect patient care activities under direct supervision.  Assists patients with activities of daily living, providing for personal care, comfort and assistance when necessary.## Qualifications Sufficient previous clinical experience preferred.  Post high school vocational / specialized training, current CNA certificate in the state where employed, CPR certification.
** Duties:
*** Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, continuous quality improvement, safety, environmental and infection control standards
* Performs basic nursing procedures, including collection of lab specimens, thermal applications, non-sterile soaks, application of simple dressing and perineal care
* Obtains and documents patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, weight, respiration, pulse, intake and output
* Assists in admission, transfer and dismissal procedures of the patient
* Provides personal care assistance to patients, including, but not limited to, bathing, dressing, eating, bed pans, transportation, skin, oral and hair care along with positioning
* Keeps the patient’s room straightened and clean
* Maintains patient documentation as outlined by hospital policy
* Maintains confidentiality of all patient data
* Maintains patient records and charts to ensure an accurate record of medical treatment
* Demonstrates sensitivity to patient comfort and privacy
* Participates in educational programs and in-service meetings as required
* Flexible in doing other ancillary services such as housekeeping, ward clerk, etc.
* All language during assigned working hours shall be English unless otherwise directed by supervisor on a case by case basis
* Shall perform any and all other duties, within your scope of practice, as assigned by those appointed to a position over you
* Knows and follows patient rights

** This position is an on‐site role and is not eligible for remote or telecommuting work. Regular, in‐person attendance at the designated work location is an essential function of the position.
