Position Summary & Responsibilities

Position Summary:

This incumbent will assist the KDADS SLO Quality Improvement Coordinator with daily tasks including but not limited to ensuring timely upload and export of survey shells to the survey team, ensure all documentation is completed by the survey team, sending the statement of deficiencies, POC in KOTA for the QIC, Will do travel authorizations, expense reports and Purchase card reconciliation.

Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

Incumbent will assist the RM in the ASPEN/iQIES system to ensure timely export/import, review and distributing time sensitive survey information. The incumbent will work with the survey team to ensure all documentation from each survey is formatted and attached to the survey along with the time worked by each individual surveyor for accuracy. The incumbent will ensure that all complaints are reviewed and attached to surveys and documented for "substantiation or un-substantiation" according to the LTCSP.

Incumbent reviews and evaluates licensure and recertification surveys throughout an assigned district to verify survey completion by licensed nurses classified as Health Facility Surveyors I's in accordance with federal and state regulatory requirements and existing agency criteria and directives.

Incumbent compiles and generates written reports for the Regional Manager as requested, which identifies all process improvements and training activities, including analyzing information received from CMS reports on surveyed performance. Incumbent works with the Regional Manager to plan and conduct training to be presented at in-service, district staff meetings.

Completes special projects and performs other duties as assigned including but not limited to ensuring the agency is adequately staffed during and immediately following natural and/or manmade disasters, infectious disease outbreaks, and/or acts of terrorism. Assists other employees in the work unit in accomplishing assignments as necessary.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

* One year of experience in planning, implementing and monitoring activities relevant to the agency's programs.

* Ability to work as part of a team

* Attention to detail

* Ability to prioritize tasks

* Unrestricted Driver's License to operate a state vehicle if necessary

Preferred:

* Strong communication skills and decision-making abilities

* Education at a post high school or experience in administrative support
