This is not a benefits eligible position.

Saline County reimburses mileage at the current IRS rate.

Schedule:

Home Health RNs have flexibility in establishing their patient care needs, workload, and departmental requirements. Charting and documentation may be completed wherever the PRN Home Health RN can appropriately and securely perform the work, provided all County policies, patient confidentiality requirements, and applicable documentation standards are followed.

Duties Include:

Performs OASIS assessments for skilled services which include:

Start of Care OASIS visits

Recertification OASIS visits

Discharge OASIS visits

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

Must have a Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma or Associates Degree in nursing.

Must meet licensing requirements by the Kansas State Board of Nursing for Registered Nurses and hold a current licensure for the State of Kansas.

Must have good communication skills to work with Staff and public in a congenial manner.

An ability to maintain a professional demeanor.

Must have basic knowledge of Excel, Word and other PC software.

A proven ability to plan and organize work.

Must be flexible and be able to adapt to different tasks.

Must have a valid Driver’s License and must provide own transportation.

Physical Requirements:

Determined Work Level: Level 3 – Medium Work:
The applicant must attain a 2.5 score or above score on their physical capacity profile. Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly. Ability to hear directions and ability to communicate ideas by means of the spoken word when interacting with Staff and public.

Must have fine and gross manual dexterity to operate the telephone, calculator, typewriter and computer.

Former military personnel or their spouse that have been verified as a veteran under K.S.A. 73-201 will receive an interview if they meet the minimum qualifications of the position and successfully pass any required pre-employment testing or any requirements such as licensing. The veterans' preference laws do not guarantee the veteran a job. Positions are filled with the best qualified candidate as determined by the hiring officials.

To be successful, the expectation is that a candidate will be able to competently perform the routine tasks of the position with limited supervision by the end of the probationary period of covered positions.
