Store Counter Sales

Responsibilities

• Provide auto parts answers and solutions for retail and wholesale customers in person at the counter or over the phone.
• Use parts knowledge to assist other NAPA team members and answer customer questions.
• Provide outstanding customer care and interactions with everyone who visits the NAPA Store.
• Maintain a customer‑focused, fast‑paced environment and engage new customers to provide a positive experience.
• Use technology such as computer, cash register, telephone, and paper catalog system.

• Valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or at least a willingness to learn about automotive parts.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced retail environment.
• Great listening skills and empathy for customers.
• Background or passion for automotive industry (heavy equipment, farm, diesel, marine, dealership) is a plus.
• Experience in a parts store, auction, retail, auto body/collision, knowledge of cataloging or inventory management systems is a plus.
• Entirely customer‑centric (external/internal).
• ASE certifications (preferred but not required).
