Located in Shawnee, KS and Village West, we’re passionate about great food, great service, and creating memorable events for our guests. As our catering and events business continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced, driven and organized Director of Sales & Catering to lead and expand this part of the business.
Position OverviewThe Director of Sales & Catering is responsible for driving catering and event sales while ensuring flawless execution of every event. This role focuses on building relationships with corporate clients, local organizations, and community partners to grow catering revenue and manage the full sales process from inquiry to event completion.
Key Responsibilities- Drive catering and event sales growth through outbound outreach, networking, and relationship building
- Manage incoming catering inquiries and convert leads into booked events
- Coordinate logistics for catering orders and on-site/off‑site events
- Work closely with kitchen and operations teams to ensure seamless execution
- Maintain relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and local businesses
- Develop partnerships with venues, offices, schools, and community organizations
- Track sales performance, leads, and event details using CRM or sales systems
- Assist with marketing initiatives that promote catering and events
- Represent Blind Box BBQ at networking events and in the community
- Experience in catering sales, hospitality sales, or event sales
- Strong relationship‑building and networking skills
- Organized and detail‑oriented with excellent communication skills
- Experience managing multiple events or clients simultaneously
- Comfortable with outreach, lead generation, and closing sales
- Hospitality, event and/or catering sales experience is required
- Familiar with event booking software, ideally Triple Seat
