Job Overview

As a Member of the Dermatology Sales Force, you will drive demand for the assigned product following regulatory approval through education and clinical selling activities. Your role will focus on educating Healthcare Providers (HCPs) and optimizing business opportunities within targeted physician offices, clinics, and hospital accounts that specialize in Dermatology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support account onboarding through education and clinical training.
  • Engage in clinical selling activities, including delivering the clinical value proposition and advancing HCPs across the brand educational continuum.
  • Deliver initial clinical and patient access education to medical staff.
  • Coordinate and support clinical education opportunities and programs for HCPs, such as peer‑to‑peer education.
  • Manage accounts within Dermatology practices, clinics, and independent physician offices.
  • Achieve sales goals by delivering product volume and meeting other key metrics in the assigned territory.
  • Execute the company brand strategy and tactics within the assigned customer segment.
  • Build professional relationships with HCP decision‑makers, support staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver a targeted sales message to HCPs, utilizing approved materials and medical reprints.
  • Implement marketing strategies locally, leveraging resources and collaborating with team members.
  • Cultivate relationships and educate decision‑makers to support customer engagement.
  • Present complex clinical and business information to Academic, Institutional, and Professional audiences.
  • Develop and implement medical education opportunities to expand provider knowledge.
  • Stay current on the latest disease state and treatment information and the changing business environment.
  • Strategically manage allocated resources, including financial, medical affairs, and marketing budgets.
Minimum Requirements / Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS).
  • 3+ years of successful selling experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or relevant clinical/industry experience (or 2+ years selling at Takeda).
  • Strong verbal, influencing, presentation, and written communication skills.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
  • Experience calling on Dermatologists or Dermatology practices highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated business and strategic planning skills and adaptability to changing market conditions.
  • Understanding of the managed care landscape and its impact on business.
  • Reside within or close proximity to the assigned geographic region.
  • Preferred: 5+ years of direct selling experience to healthcare professionals in the pharmaceutical, biotech, device, or healthcare industry; experience with reimbursement issues.
Training Requirements
  • Position is contingent upon successful completion of mandatory product training (written and oral examinations). The training period will include live instruction, independent study, role play, and other activities (up to 8 hours per day, 40 hours total in a work week).
  • During training, the employee will be classified as non‑exempt and eligible for overtime only in accordance with applicable law. Post‑training, employees transition to exempt status and become eligible for incentive programs.
Licenses / Certifications
  • Valid driver’s license.
Travel Requirements
  • Ability to drive and/or fly to accounts and business meetings.
  • Up to 25–50% overnight travel may be required depending on geographic assignment.
Compensation & Benefits (Summary)
  • Hourly wage range: $63.51–$87.31 (Kansas – Virtual, U.S.).
  • Eligibility for short‑term incentives, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k) with match, disability coverage, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteer time, company holidays, well‑being benefits, sick time, and paid vacation.
