Commercial Plumbing Apprentice: Hands-on Training & Growth

Summary - Commercial Plumber Apprentice:
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Commercial Plumbing Apprentice to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in the commercial plumbing trade. The apprentice will work under the supervision of licensed plumbers and foremen to assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems on commercial job sites while learning industry best practices and safety standards.

Responsibility Summary - Commercial Plumber Apprentice:

• Assist journeyman plumbers with the installation of commercial plumbing systems, including water, waste, vent, and gas lines
• Measure, cut, assemble, and install pipes, fittings, and fixtures using hand and power tools
• Load, unload, and organize tools, equipment, and materials on job sites
• Follow blueprints, schematics, and project plans as directed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Learn and comply with all local plumbing codes and safety regulations
• Perform basic troubleshooting and repairs under supervision
• Communicate effectively with team members, foremen, and other trades on site
• Attend required training, classes, or apprenticeship program sessions

Experience Summary - Commercial Plumber:

• 1-3+ years’ experience in plumbing field

Special Knowledge/Skills - Commercial Apprentice Plumber:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Enrollment in or willingness to enroll in a plumbing apprenticeship program preferred
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn the trade
• Ability to use basic hand and power tools (or willingness to learn)
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude
• Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team environment

Physical Requirements - Commercial Apprentice Plumber:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Ability to stand, kneel, bend, climb, and work in tight spaces for extended periods
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
• Ability to work on ladders, lifts, and scaffolding as needed
