Job Summary
Anderson Auto is looking for an Electrical/HVAC Technician to join our team. The Electrical/HVAC Technician is responsible for diagnosing and repairing automotive systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, and HVAC components. This role is essential to ensure customer satisfaction and safety.
Responsibilities- Perform work specified on repair orders efficiently and in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards.
- Diagnose and repair automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, and HVAC components.
- Conduct visual safety and courtesy inspections.
- Use factory specifications as the standard in all repairs, service, and customization work.
- Achieve and maintain 100% productivity.
- Receive service assignments from the service writer or manager.
- Complete repair work within allotted time.
- Set goals, develop skills, and continually increase efficiency.
- Submit parts requests promptly.
- Inform service writer or manager of supplemental work or delays.
- Aid service advisor in writing work orders, conducting test rides, interacting with customers, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Ensure proper paperwork is completed after each job.
- Maintain technical qualifications by completing required training.
- Keep vehicle cleaner when the job is complete.
- Ensure thorough, accurate work to reduce return repairs.
- Provide excellent service to all customers.
- Maintain a clean, efficient work area and keep the shop organized.
- Perform duties safely and report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions.
- Show up on time, ready, and able to perform job functions.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and practices.
- Perform other tasks as directed.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in an automotive‑related technician/mechanic role.
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- ASE certification preferred but not required.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license with clean driving history.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and adapt to change.
- Ability to innovate, solve complex issues, and present new ideas.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions with attention to detail.
- Proven ability to handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines.
- Experience working in a team‑based environment and achieving common goals.

Full‑time position. Days and hours vary to accommodate service department working hours, including evenings and weekends. Two‑weeks’ notice will be provided for schedule changes whenever possible.
TravelOccasional travel for training or to assist at other dealerships may be required.
Work Environment and Physical DemandsThe employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. The role utilizes standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. Physical demands include standing, walking, sitting, using hands to handle tools, reaching, climbing stairs, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and occasionally lifting or moving up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
