As an Industrial Electrician, you will play a vital role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing our plant’s electrical and mechanical systems to ensure reliable, efficient production. This is a hands‑on role for a skilled professional who thrives in a fast‑paced industrial environment and takes pride in solving complex technical challenges.
Your Impact in This Role Maintenance & Installations- Maintain, repair, and upgrade electrical installations (low, medium, and high voltage)
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to optimize equipment uptime
- Install, renew, and improve electrical control systems and switch gear
- Maintain conveying systems, rotating equipment, and production machinery
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical procedures
- Update and maintain electrical documentation and records
- Diagnose and repair electrical and control system failures
- Analyze issues using voltage, current, and insulation measurements
- Repair or replace faulty components efficiently and safely
- Troubleshoot 480
VAC and low‑voltage DC systems - Work with conveyors, sensors, drives/VFDs, motor controls, and automation systems
- Collaborate with maintenance and warehouse teams to ensure availability of spare parts
- Escalate complex or high‑voltage issues as needed
- Respond quickly to production issues to minimize downtime
- Support operators to get systems back online safely and efficiently
- Identify and recommend improvements to prevent recurring issues
- Assist with installation and startup of new equipment and technologies
- Support preventive maintenance and reliability initiatives
- Follow Sibelco’s life‑saving rules, LOTOTO (Lock Out, Tag Out, Try Out), and safety standards
- Conduct LMRA and ensure safe execution of all tasks
- Use proper PPE and adhere to work permits and SOPs
- Communicate with control rooms and teams during maintenance work
- Report hazards and actively participate in safety improvements
- Support emergency systems including fire alarms
- Minimum 1+ year of industrial electrical experience
- Strong troubleshooting skills in 480
VAC and low‑voltage DC systems - Knowledge of PLC systems, measurement & control techniques
- Experience with conveyors, air cylinders, diverters, sensors, drives/VFDs, motor controls, relays, starters, fuses
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation
- High School Diploma with Electrical or Electro‑mechanical training (or equivalent experience)
- Knowledge of high and low voltage systems
- BA5 (high voltage certification) preferred
- Forklift and aerial platform certification is a plus
