Material Handler Forklift

Material Handler / Forklift Operator

We're looking for a Material Handler / Forklift Operator to join our team! If you have forklift experience and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, this could be a great opportunity for you.

In this role, you'll help keep production running by safely moving materials, supporting inventory accuracy, and supplying materials where they're needed.

• Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment
• Load, unload, move, and store materials throughout the facility
• Supply materials to production teams to keep operations running smoothly
• Use RF scanners, tablets, and computers to track inventory and material movement
• Receive and organize incoming shipments
• Complete inventory transactions and maintain accurate records
• Assist with picking, packing, and shipping tasks as needed
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
• Inspect equipment and report any damage or safety concerns
• Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines

• At least 1 year of forklift operating experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment
• Experience receiving, storing, and moving materials
• Comfortable using scanners, tablets, or inventory tracking systems
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Ability to work independently and stay productive
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable and dependable work ethic

• Experience with Swing Mast, narrow-aisle, or heavy-duty forklifts
• Inventory control or material tracking experience
• Picking and packing experience
• Experience identifying and resolving inventory discrepancies

• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs independently
• Ability to frequently move, carry, push, or pull heavier materials with team support
• Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods
• Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, climb stairs, and work throughout the facility
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment that may be warm, cold, and noisy

This position is based in a busy manufacturing facility where teamwork, safety, and reliability are highly valued. You'll spend most of your day operating forklifts, moving materials, and supporting production teams while working with scanners, tablets, and inventory systems.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shawnee, KS.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $18.70 - $18.70/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
