POSITION SUMMARY
The Staffing Specialist plays a key role in the daily operations of our healthcare staffing company. This position supports applicant screening, onboarding coordination, recurring clinical scheduling, and administrative functions while working closely with internal teams and facility partners to ensure smooth and timely provider coverage. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and comfortable supporting multiple operational areas in a fast-paced environment, serving as a bridge between compliance, scheduling, leadership, and facility partners to ensure staffing needs are met efficiently and accurately.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Strong organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and support different operational areas as needed
Attention to detail with strong follow-through
Professional written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively across teams and with external facility partners
Experience in healthcare staffing, scheduling, or administrative support preferred (but not required)
Maintain confidentiality of employee, patient, and facility information in accordance with HIPAA and company policies
Comfortable learning and navigating staffing, scheduling, and compliance systems
Must be available to be placed on monthly “on-call” schedule
Education and/or Experience- High school diploma/GED required
- Experience with a staffing company or similar role required
- Previous hospital experience preferred
- Screen and review applicant submissions to ensure minimum qualifications are met
- Coordinate and support staffing onboarding processes, including documentation collection, tracking compliance items, and assisting with pre-hire requirements
- Work closely with the Clinical Compliance Specialist to support compliance tracking, credentialing needs, and onboarding readiness
- Work closely with the Clinical Scheduler to assist with recurring scheduling needs, shift coordination, and coverage support as assigned
- Collaborate client partners to provide scheduling support, assist with provider placement, and ensure coverage needs are met
- Assist the Staffing Director with assigned projects, administrative tasks, and operational support as needed
- Maintain accurate and organized records related to applicants, onboarding status, scheduling activity, and facility communication
- Communicate professionally with internal team members, candidates, and facility contacts to support efficient workflow and timely follow-up
- Participate in the on-call rotation as assigned to support after-hours staffing needs, including scheduling issues, call-ins, and coverage requests.
- Escalate issues appropriately to leadership when needed during on-call coverage
