Adjunct Guitar - Oklahoma Baptist Church

The Division of Music is looking to hire a dynamic, experienced, and student‑focused individual to serve as Adjunct for Guitar. Candidates will teach private Guitar lessons and may also teach Music, Fine Arts, or Guitar classes based on degrees and experience.

• Provide private lessons or classes in content specialty to students pursuing a degree in music, a minor in music, or electives/secondary performance areas.
• Other instruments may be required.

• May have opportunity to teach other classes in the content area.

• Ability to teach private lessons in the content area.
• Ability to travel to OBU.
• Commitment to the vision and mission of Oklahoma Baptist University.

• Required:
  
  Completed Master’s degree.
• Preferred:
  Doctorate in Music Arts in instrument.

• Required:
  
  Teaching experience in appropriate content area.
• Preferred:
  Successful teaching as a music faculty member at an accredited undergraduate institution and significant experience as a performer.

• Must be a member of a local evangelical Christian church.
• Evangelical refers to a segment within Christianity that maintains the authority of the Bible and the belief in salvation by faith in Jesus alone.
