Job Summary:
The Market President is responsible for the administration and efficient daily operation of full-service branch offices in a predefined geographic market. The role promotes Bank products and services that support overall Bank objectives, acts as a community liaison, and develops and expands the bank’s asset base through profitable growth of its market share of retail and commercial lines of business. The Market President ensures that all Bank personnel comply with applicable policies, procedures, and regulations, representing the Bank with pride while establishing a strong market presence and maintaining the Bank as a respected community citizen and leader.

Duties/Responsibilities- In partnership with the Branch Manager, Chief Lending Officer, and SVP of Retail Operations, establish and monitor branch goals, growth strategies, business development initiatives, and customer quality standards to ensure market-wide expectations are met.
- Conduct regular sales meetings with commercial lending and retail banking teams, monitor execution, hold team members accountable, and mentor to energize and motivate performance.
- Participate in community affairs and public relations initiatives to improve the Bank’s visibility and generate new business opportunities.
- Analyze credit and loan requests within established loan policy and regulatory guidelines, exercising discretion to approve or deny based on risk tolerance, and negotiate terms accordingly.
- Provide superior customer service, manage commercial banking relationships, resolve inquiries, identify new opportunities, monitor loan repayment activities, and take action on delinquent accounts.
- Prepare and present loan information to appropriate committees.
- Ensure loan/deposit volumes and income/expense levels are within budget in coordination with branch managers.
- Maintain knowledge of current regulations and compliance requirements.
- Recommend personnel decisions relating to employment, training, performance, salary, promotions, transfers, terminations, and staffing, actively participating in recruitment and retention.
- Demonstrate a willingness and commitment to adhere to the Bank’s core values.
- Identify and report risks that could threaten the Bank’s reputation, safety, security, or financial success.
- Act as a resource by demonstrating extensive knowledge and enthusiasm about banking solutions and management objectives.

- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, or related field required;
Master’s degree preferred. - 10+ years of experience in commercial banking and management required.
