Job ResponsibilitiesYou are responsible for everything that happens during your shift, including cost controls, inventory, cash handling, staffing, paperwork, food management, scheduling, customer service, and maintaining a clean and safe store environment.
- Set the example for safety, quality, and customer service.
- Follow all policy and procedures 100% of the time and expect the same from team members.
- Operate all equipment.
- Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
- Prepare product.
- Receive and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and facility daily.
- Perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide) accurately and quickly.
- Use a calculator as needed.
- Make correct monetary change.
- Communicate verbally and in written form to customers and teammates.
- Coordinate motor skills between eyes and hands/fingers for rapid, accurate movements.
- Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touchscreen.
- Navigate delivery routes, read maps, and locate addresses.
- Travel adverse terrain, including multi‑story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites, while carrying product.
- Varying and sometimes adverse weather when removing trash or performing outside tasks.
- In‑store temperatures ranging from 36°F to 90°F or higher.
- Sudden changes in temperature inside and outside.
- Fume exposure from food odors.
- Exposure to cornmeal dust.
- Cramped quarters, including walk‑in cooler.
- Hot surfaces/tools from oven up to 500°F or higher.
- Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
- Adverse weather when delivering product and driving.
- Talking and hearing on telephone; near and mid‑range vision for most in‑store tasks.
- Depth perception.
- Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
- Far vision and night vision for driving.
The ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
Physical RequirementsStanding, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, climbing, stooping/bending, crouching/squatting, reaching, and driving are required. Typical tasks include standing for long periods, walking short distances, lifting cargo up to 50 pounds, carrying heavy cans and pizza dough, and driving a delivery vehicle within a specific area.
