Maintenance Technician Atoka County Medical Center is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to help maintain a safe, functional, and comfortable environment for patients, employees, and visitors. This position reports to the Plant Supervisor and supports general repairs, preventive maintenance, and daily facility operations.

Responsibilities
• Perform routine building maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, carpentry, painting, general upkeep within training and authorization.
• Assist with heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning system maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Complete preventive maintenance assignments and maintain accurate work records.
• Respond to maintenance requests and report concerns requiring specialized repairs.
• Assist with grounds maintenance, moving furniture and equipment, and general facility upkeep.
• Identify and report safety hazards.
• Follow hospital safety, infection prevention, and confidentiality practices.
• Work with hospital staff to complete repairs while minimizing disruption to patient care.

Physical and Scheduling Expectations Duties include standing, walking, lifting, bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and moving tools, materials, and equipment. Work may take place indoors, outdoors, and in mechanical spaces.

Occasional evening, weekend, holiday, emergency response, or on-call assignments may be required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in building maintenance, construction, or a related trade preferred.
• Healthcare maintenance experience or technical training is helpful.
• Basic knowledge of maintenance methods and safe use of hand and power tools.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to prioritize assignments and respond to urgent maintenance needs.
• Valid driver’s license when duties include driving hospital vehicles.
