SALARY RANGE: $21 - $30
CPN Health Services personnel may be assigned to provide services to patients of all ages including but not limited to Indian Children and will require a criminal history background screening.
ALL FULL TIME POSITIONS:
In addition to your pay, your salary also includes Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance. The Biweekly deduction from employee paycheck is $40.00 for Employee Only, $95.00 Employee plus Children, $120.00 Employee plus Spouse, and $140.00 Employee plus family.
JOB SUMMARY:
To assist physician and other health care providers in the clinic setting.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Obtains vital signs and appropriate history of patient status and all required screenings to meet accreditation and GPRA standards.
- Performs all general nursing functions within scope of practice.
- TB test and proper interpretation of site and knowledge of procedure if a positive test.
- Make and answer calls in a professional manner.
- Notify patients by phone or mail regarding lab work or diagnostic testing as directed by provider.
- Provide patient instruction/teaching regarding medications, wound care, diagnostic test, lab results, and documents in the education tab of the record, when assigned to patient care, etc.
- Available to act as a witness in signing of consent forms and advance directives as needed.
- Clean and sterilize instruments as needed.
- Responsible for cleaning of exam rooms, procedure rooms, instruments, and equipment used when assigned to a provider.
- Responsible for providing input to the Nursing Coordinator for the annual budget needs.
- Provides staffing coverage in the event of call in or vacancy.
- Inventory and restock supply rooms as needed.
- Coordinates with Nursing Coordinator for supplies and equipment needs.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
Perform other duties and projects as required by management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to communicate effectively and accurately with patients, providers, and others. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding all patients encounters. Some computer skills are needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:
Licensed in the State of Oklahoma as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Experience in a clinic setting preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time. Some lifting, bending, stretching, and kneeling may be required. The ability to work in a fast paced environment.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
General clinical environment with frequent exposure to chemicals, blood borne pathogens and patient body fluids.
