Food and Consumable associates focus on customer service and creative merchandising. They move incoming merchandise to the sales floor and create seasonal display features to meet customer needs. For complete job duties and requirements, see the Job Description.

As part of Walmart’s grocery team, you’ll help secure the quality of fruit and vegetables for customers.

• Work in deli, providing front‑line customer service and a welcoming smile.
• Assist in the bakery, helping customers celebrate special moments and ensuring quality.
• Support the dry grocery department, helping customers locate items.
• Maintain cleanliness, temperature control, date verification, and safe disposal of lower‑quality food products across all fresh food areas.

• Help customers find the products they need.
• Ensure high‑quality products across produce, deli, bakery, dairy, meat, and other departments.
• Pack ready‑to‑sell products in proper containers and stock displays.
• Prepare and serve ready‑to‑eat food.
• Assist with cake orders, deli orders, and general customer requests.
• Maintain a clean, sanitized, and customer‑ready area.
