Business Developer
Location: Shawnee, OK 74804
Work Arrangement: Hybrid | 50%-80% Travel
Position SummaryThe Business Developer is responsible for generating new business by qualifying opportunities and engaging key decision-makers through phone and in-person sales calls. Success in this role requires confidence in selling essential services, disciplined daily execution, and strong consultative selling skills, including active listening, effective questioning, and clear communication.

- Generate an average of 2 new clients per week
. - Qualify prospects by assessing client needs, budget, and timeline.
- Identify buying signals and ask appropriate qualifying questions.
- Secure meetings with decision-makers and facilitate a seamless transition to the appropriate internal team member.
- Educate prospects on the company's process, agreements, and account setup requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to move job orders toward fulfillment and identify opportunities for sales re-engagement.
- Self-generate sales opportunities through networking, referrals, and outbound prospecting.
- Complete approximately 120 weekly sales calls , including 100 face-to-face visits
. - Complete a minimum of 60 weekly decision-maker calls
. - Conduct 5 strategic appointments per week with qualified decision-makers.
- Document all sales activity accurately and establish next steps for prospects and clients.
- Execute daily sales plans, address objections, and document outcomes in the company's sales tracking system.
- Contact 800-1,000 accounts quarterly to qualify prospects and identify new business opportunities.
- Review weekly sales activity to identify high-potential prospects capable of closing within 90 days.
- Maintain and actively manage a Top 20 target account list with strategic weekly follow-up.
- Divide the assigned market into 4-5 geographic or business segments and establish a daily territory plan.
- Categorize prospects based on business potential and determine appropriate contact frequency.
- Plan daily activities in advance, coordinating appointments and nearby prospect visits to maximize field productivity.
- Stay informed about labor-market trends and industry developments.
- Use relevant market insights and educational resources to provide value to prospects and clients.
- Anticipate account needs and proactively recommend appropriate solutions.
- Build and strengthen client relationships while identifying opportunities for additional services.
- With management approval, participate in a local professional or business organization to build relationships and generate leads.
- Ensure networking activities produce meaningful business opportunities.
- Meet regularly with internal team members to discuss territory plans, opportunities, and available candidates/resources.
- Share qualified candidate profiles and leads with the appropriate internal team members.
- Communicate daily schedules and priorities to maintain alignment and maximize field productivity.
- Ensure qualified job orders are promptly communicated to the appropriate internal team.
- Conduct business in accordance with company policies and applicable federal and state laws, including regulations such as FLSA, Title VII, ADA, and FMLA.
- Continuously develop staffing-industry knowledge through coaching, training, ride-alongs, and hands-on learning.
- No direct supervisory responsibilities.
Physical Requirements
- Work is primarily conducted away from the local office and may include various office, commercial, and industrial environments.
- Frequent travel is required, including driving in inclement weather and challenging road conditions.
- Must be able to effectively manage the demands of travel, deadlines, customer commitments, and account-related issues.
- Must maintain a valid state driver’s license.
- Must be able to climb stairs and carry necessary sales and marketing materials.
