Environmental Health and Safety Internship

• Drive a safety culture of ownership and develop safety solutions for plant operations teams
• Gain EHS experience and support compliance at a food manufacturing site in an industrial setting
• Perform project work across the business, including Job Safety Analysis, risk assessments, and hazard recognition activities
• Capture findings and document data in the Velocity EHS software tool
• Help drive corrective and preventive action solutions to mitigate risks and hazards
• Assist with regulatory compliance activities on operations floors
• Work with multifunctional teams to validate assessments
• Participate in job shadowing across other areas of interest
• Report to the Safety Coordinator for scheduling and project direction
• Participate in organized intern networking and learning activities

• Currently working towards a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Safety, Engineering or a related field from an accredited university
• Junior or senior status preferred
• 3.5 minimum GPA strongly preferred
• Prior work experience preferred
• Excellent computer skills, including Excel proficiency
• Ability to prioritize competing priorities and deadlines
• Desire to learn, grow and contribute in a team-based environment
• Quick learner with ability to work independently
• Drive for excellence
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Less than 10% travel, including some travel to remote facilities
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future

Demonstrates strong capabilities in Environmental Health and Safety practices, including Job Safety Analysis and risk assessments, while effectively utilizing tools like Velocity EHS for compliance and data documentation. Exhibits a commitment to safety culture and teamwork in a food manufacturing environment.
