$5000 Sign on Bonus if Hired
Your Role- Produce and purify chemical compounds to meet the requirements of Millipore Sigma customers
- Stage materials operating a variety of warehouse equipment
- Basic operation of vessels, tanks, dryers, and other related equipment
- Perform in-process analytical testing including work-ups and simple interpretations as described in the Master Production Record
- Perform distillations, filtrations, and extractions to isolate and purify product
- Follow and support all safety and quality procedures and systems
- Shift/Hours/
Schedule:
2pm – 10:30pm, Monday – Friday
- Wear protective gear: air helmet, respirator mask, safety shoes, rubber apron, chemical protective suits and gloves, safety glasses and goggles
- Work in occasional wet, humid, abnormally hot or cold environment
- Perform tasks involving sitting, standing, walking, reaching above the shoulder, stooping, kneeling, twisting, or crouching for long periods
- Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Work with and in proximity of hazardous chemicals
- Use close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision and the ability to adjust focus
- Use a range of office, laboratory, and manufacturing equipment
- Work near moving mechanical parts
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associate’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or other Life Science discipline
- Experience with chemical handling desired.
- Strong mechanical proficiency and mathematical skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Experience with reading and understanding written protocols
- Understand chemical reactions and hazards
- Understand ISO and quality systems
Pay Range for this position: $21/hr – $39/hr
The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
