JOB REQUIREMENTS:
The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for receiving, recording, storing, protecting, and distributing components, parts, and assemblies.
- Receive, record, and store components, parts, and assemblies.
- Pick manufactured and commercial items for shop orders and deliver items to assembly locations or staging areas.
- Receive items from internal shop orders, record receipt, and place items in designated storage areas.
- Adjust storage areas as deemed necessary to ensure safety and damage prevention and record location in the system.
- Perform preventive maintenance of forklifts and record daily inspections of handling equipment.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts.
- Perform preventive checks on trucks as necessary.
- Unload trucks and sign bills of lading.
- Open boxes, inspect, confirm counts, and receive incoming parts.
- Identify shortages of parts and deliver parts to appropriate locations within the company.
- Pick parts according to shop order and deliver to appropriate location.
- Pick converted parts and deliver to the Machine Shop.
- Pick COP orders and deliver to Shipping.
- Pack parts for shipping.
- Assist the Traffic Department in obtaining needed information for shipping foreign and domestic trucking, UPS, and Airfreight.
- Clean and organize the work area.
- Perform shipping functions when necessary.
- Request replacement supplies as necessary.
- Drive trucks for pick-ups and deliveries between vendors and buyers when necessary.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, plus specialized training.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience.
- Proficient in mathematics, including additions, subtractions, multiplications, divisions, and metric conversions.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and warehouse paperwork.
- Certified forklift driver.
- Comfortable working at heights.
- CDL driver’s license is a plus.
- Strong collaborative skills to proactively develop solutions.
Protective clothing: safety glasses, safety harness, and safety shoes are required in production and warehouse areas.
