Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. This position offers an opportunity to support essential accounting operations in a dynamic healthcare environment during a time of organizational transition. The role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who can ensure smooth financial processes while collaborating with leadership and other departments.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee and execute monthly financial close activities, including preparing schedules and meeting deadlines.

- Create and post journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation.

- Conduct bank reconciliations and analyze discrepancies to resolve variances efficiently.

- Manage intercompany accounting tasks across multiple entities within the organization.

- Provide assistance with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.

- Collaborate with payroll accounting processes, ensuring accurate implementation and reporting.

- Partner closely with the Director of Accounting Operations to maintain continuity and structure during leadership transitions.

- Identify and address areas for improvement within financial processes, ensuring compliance and accuracy.

- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to support accounting operations and provide timely updates. Requirements - Proficient in Net Suite with hands-on experience.

- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally at the Senior Accountant level.

- Extensive knowledge of month-end close procedures, reconciliations, and journal entries.

- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks independently and adhere to strict deadlines.

- Strong analytical skills to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate financial reporting.

- Expertise in using Microsoft Excel for accounting and reporting purposes.

- Preferred experience in healthcare or residential care settings.

- Familiarity with multi-entity accounting and intercompany transactions.
