ABOUT INSPECTED

Inspected is a fast-growing, tech-enabled construction technology company revolutionizing remote inspections and permitting for the construction industry. We serve homebuilders, HVAC, solar, roofing, pool, and commercial and residential contractors across Florida, Texas, Tennessee, and North Carolina — with additional markets launching soon.

Our proprietary platform, Permit Hub, is transforming a process that once took months into one that takes days. Inspected has performed over 250,000 remote inspections and is one of South Florida's fastest-growing companies, with 100% growth for three consecutive years. This is a high-energy, high-growth environment where every team member makes a real and visible impact.

POSITION SUMMARY

Inspected is seeking experienced ICC-certified Inspectors to perform third-party residential and commercial construction inspections throughout Texas. This is a field-based remote role — you work from within Texas, travel to assigned inspection sites, and document and upload your results through Permit Hub, our proprietary electronic inspection platform.

Assignments may include building, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, energy, accessibility, and property-maintenance inspections depending on your active certifications and jurisdictional approvals. Candidates holding combination or multi-discipline credentials — particularly those with electrical inspection experience — are strongly preferred as we build our Texas team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform residential and commercial inspections at various stages of construction throughout assigned Texas service areas
  • Inspect work only within your approved disciplines based on active ICC certifications and jurisdictional approvals — which may include building, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, energy, accessibility, and property maintenance
  • Verify that construction complies with approved plans, applicable adopted codes, Texas requirements, and jurisdiction-specific local amendments
  • Prepare accurate, clear, and code-referenced correction notices and inspection reports in Permit Hub
  • Identify code deficiencies clearly, providing applicable code references and communicating required corrections professionally
  • Verify that required corrections are completed and document reinspection results
  • Complete assigned inspections and upload reports, photographs, and supporting documentation within established turnaround times
  • Communicate professionally with contractors, design professionals, municipal representatives, and internal Inspected team members
  • Assist with jurisdiction-specific registration and approval requirements as needed
  • Stay current with Texas regulations, adopted construction codes, ICC standards, and local amendments across assigned jurisdictions
  • Participate in quality-control reviews, training sessions, and process-improvement initiatives
  • Maintain all required ICC certifications, licenses, and credentials in active and good-standing status
QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Required
  • At least one active ICC Inspector certification in a discipline applicable to assigned work
  • Minimum of 3 years of inspection, code-compliance, construction, or related field experience
  • Strong working knowledge of applicable International Codes, adopted Texas requirements, and local amendments
  • Ability to read and interpret approved construction plans, specifications, and technical documents in the field
  • Ability to document code deficiencies clearly and communicate required corrections professionally
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with smartphones, tablets, electronic inspection platforms, and digital reporting tools;
Permit Hub training will be provided
  • Valid Texas driver's license and reliable personal transportation for field assignments
  • Ability to pass applicable background checks and municipal registration requirements
