The Customer Care Specialist is responsible for providing leading industry service to visitors of Vollrath, as well as, through email and switchboard correspondence.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide a leading industry customer service experience.
  • Professionally greets all visitors and callers.
  • Receives, prioritizes, and responds to inbound customer inquiries via phone, email, and fax
  • Directs visitors to designated area of the campus.
  • Operates System Switchboard including but not limited to:
    Directing all incoming calls to proper extension, calling contacts through auto-call or paging system, monitoring and open gates.
  • Maintains and updates all directories, switchboard manuals and Outside Sales listings.
  • Assist Customer and Technical Service with Daily/ Weekly data reporting.
  • Use Docuware or other document management system to get customer contacts to the correct department / representative.
  • Responsible for the general appearance of the lobby area. Ensuring the lobby is neat and welcome boards are updated.
  • Responsible for bringing value to the team environment, working with others to complete tasks, projects, and workload on time.
  • Exercise empowerment to make decisions which benefits both the business and customers’ needs.
  • Ability to retain information and utilize resources available to find solutions.
  • Be a change agent. Identify and challenge reasoning behind current processes. Support alternative solutions for process improvements and recognize the benefits of the change.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to accept new assignments and actively participate in cross-functional teams.
  • Works in conjunction with a Job share position while having excellent communication and partnership in duties and coverage.
  • Demonstrates willingness to take initiative for own growth and development.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Customer Service experience.
  • Previous Switchboard/Operator/Receptionist experience preferred.
  • High School Degree or equivalent required.
  • Demonstrates passion for providing industry leading customer service.
  • Ability to work quickly under pressure.
  • Must have superior telephone skills, strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, Excel and experience working with an ERP system.
