- Compensation Plan: Depending on qualifications/experience, opportunity offers up to a base salary of $140,000 plus yearly bonus.

- Improves the safety, efficiency, and reliability of production processes and equipment through the application of engineering principles.
- Facilitates trials, equipment upgrades, and new equipment installations with careful planning, documentation, and communication.
- Supports production and maintenance through root cause analysis.
- Work with manufacturing departments to improve current production processes, including productivity improvements, setup time reductions, overall efficiencies improvements, and scrap reduction initiatives.
- Assist in providing technical support as it applies to changes to the production process.
- Work with subsidiary manufacturing departments as liaison to assist in the implementation of suggested improvement to the process and production procedures.
- Assist with the launches of new and/or different production projects.
- Specify new equipment and upgrade requirements alongside the maintenance team and third-party vendors.
- Assess the processability of new products through production scale trials.
- Commission new lines and equipment.
- Work with related departments to implement work instructions and routines.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve safety, reliability, and efficiency challenges facing production and maintenance.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience.
- Experience as a Process Engineer or in a related position.
- Project management experience is a plus.
- Experience with plastics is a plus – experience with technology of plastics compounding and extruding is a plus.
- Experience with electrical and mechanical systems is a plus.
- CAD experience is a plus.
- Experience with Safety and Environmental Laws is a plus.
- Experience with Statistical Data Analysis is a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to effectively communicate with and support multiple departments including R&D, sales, production, production personnel, etc.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to keep information readily available for review.
- Capable of performing under pressure and keeping track of multiple issues simultaneously.
- Ability to work different hours to accommodate plant requirements.
