Electrical Project Engineer Sustaining Product Development (SPD)
The Electrical Project Engineer Sustaining Product Development (SPD) will support design, development, validation, and implementation of advanced electrical and electronic systems for Rehlko industrial generator platforms.
Responsibilities- Lead or support implementation of electrical components or electronic systems on Rehlko generator platforms, including validation, testing, and postproduction support.
- Develop and execute test specifications and test procedures to validate or verify component or system function.
- Work with cross-functional teams to implement electrical and controls systems.
- Troubleshoot failures and work with suppliers to resolve issues.
- Make recommendations for product improvements.
- Develop and implement special electronics systems as needed for testing.
- Evaluate electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting research programs, applying knowledge of electricity and materials.
- Participate in design reviews and design FMEAs.
- Assist with vendor investigation of root cause analysis for failed components.
- Contribute to lessons learned methodology and continuous process improvement.
- Provide technical guidance and design direction to CAD analysts.
- Demonstrate teamwork and communicate effectively.
- Develop documents and achieve product specifications for customers, regulatory, and technical requirements.
- Deliver project work within time, cost, and quality constraints.
- Develop individual goals/objectives to support department goals.
- Demonstrate and drive core competencies.
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (ABET Accredited) required.
- 2+ years of experience in electrical engineering, electronic systems, new product development, or sustaining product development.
- General knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) Standards is a plus.
- Knowledge of MATLAB, PSPICE, Simulink, OrCAD, C, C++, Python is a plus.
