Engineering Manager

The Engineering Manager will be responsible for assisting in the organizing, planning, and managing all functions and resources within the Engineering department.

• Provide Sales with quoting information for rates, processes, and tooling
• Develop timelines for new product launches and monitor progress
• Evaluate Gross Margin Reports and develop engineering solutions for low margin product
• Evaluate Scrap Reports and develop engineering solutions for product above 8% scrap
• Evaluate root causes and develop engineering solutions for formal Corrective Actions
• Lead, manage, and support team of Engineers
• Collaborate with customers on product design and specifications
• Monitor, correct and improve Engineering productivity daily
• Schedule engineering resources efficiently and effectively to meet internal/external needs
• Develop, coach, and hold staff accountable to performance and company policies as required
• Performs other duties as assigned

• 2+ years management experience in a manufacturing environment
• 5+ years engineering experience in machining, foundry, or plastic injection molding
• Excellent time management skills, problem solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret manufacturing documents such as prints, instruction manuals, process sheets, work instructions, and safety documents
