The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) provides strategic financial leadership to this core middle market multi-division global manufacturer with strong cash flow, low leverage, and ambitious growth plans through new products, acquisitions, and international expansion.
Partnering closely with the CEO, executive team, and board, the CFO will elevate finance from reactive reporting to proactive business partnership-driving financial planning & analysis (FP&A), operational efficiency, risk management, and value creation across Company divisions. This hands-on leader will oversee accounting, reporting, treasury, compliance, and capital allocation while fostering transparency, accountability, and data-driven decision-making in a collaborative, family-oriented culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead enterprise-wide financial strategy, planning, budgeting, rolling forecasts, and performance analysis; build a robust FP&A function to predict revenue, EBITDA, and key metrics with high accuracy
- Oversee core finance operations including accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, cost accounting, credit, cash flow, working capital, and treasury management; ensure JD Edwards ERP delivers real-time insights via Power BI/Tableau
- Provide strategic insight and modeling to CEO and leadership on risks, opportunities, pricing, costing, and investments; translate financial data into actionable recommendations for operations, sales, and supply chain
- Drive M&A due diligence, valuation, integration, and geographic/vertical expansion; evaluate acquisition targets and ensure major capital projects deliver strong ROI
- Maintain banking, auditor, and investor relationships; ensure compliance with GAAP, regulations, and policies; prepare board materials and facilitate director engagement
- Lead and develop the finance team, promoting continuous improvement, independent thinking, and cross-functional collaboration
- Experience &
Education:
Bachelor's in Finance/Accounting (CPA/MBA preferred); progressive CFO-level experience with full P&L responsibility in manufacturing/industrial firms of similar size/complexity; proven M&A, forecasting, and capital planning track record - Skills & Acumen:
Deep expertise in financial modeling, cost controls, inventory management, and ERP systems; ability to modernize processes while honoring family-business heritage; strong analytical, communication, and tactful influence skills - Working Style & Leadership:
