Location: Sheboygan, Wisconsin, United States
Work Hours: Up to 16 hours per week. Students must be enrolled in their school's Youth Apprentice program.

Job SummaryThe purpose of the clinical Youth Apprenticeship role is to help students gain knowledge and skills used in a medical setting. This role has the opportunity to provide patient care upon training and under the direct supervision of senior staff. The Clinical Youth Apprentice will gain valuable hands‑on learning in various tasks such as patient rooming, monitoring vital signs, preparing rooms, and other duties relevant to an outpatient setting.
Whatyou will do
- Meet patient needs by adhering to rooming protocols, conducting and documenting vital signs, reviewing patient histories, starting patients on equipment, assisting with patient transportation at the time of discharge and other functions deemed appropriate for this role.
- Help maintain exam/patient rooms and equipment to be within infection control standards. Ensure appropriate levels of supplies for each room.
- High school student in the grade level junior or senior. Participating in the Youth Apprenticeship program in accordance with school criteria. Required.
- Demonstrates an eagerness to continuously acquire new knowledge and skills, fostering adaptability and growth in dynamic environments.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.

- Exhibits receptiveness to learning the usage of EMR (electronic medical records) systems, computer, phone, and office equipment.
- Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
- CPR/BLS Certification Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers from approved program or Prevea sponsored program. Within 30 days required.
