Purchasing Manager, Build and Lead Procurement at a Family-Owned Manufacturer | 3652605

Lead the raw materials buy, coach a two-person buying team, and build the procurement function your way at a century-old, family-owned industrial coatings manufacturer that is investing and growing.

• Buying execution for raw materials and packaging (resins, binders, pigments, solvents, additives) plus indirect spend
• Supplier negotiation, RFQs, and supplier performance management
• Materials availability against production schedules, shortage mitigation, and lead times
• Inventory and working capital targets with Planning (safety stock, replenishment)
• Coaching and developing a two-person buying team (one on-site, one remote)
• ERP data quality and procurement process standardization
• At least 5 years of hands-on purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment (7+ preferred)
• A track record negotiating supplier agreements and managing supplier relationships
• Leadership experience, direct reports or clear evidence of mentoring and leading peers
• ERP fluency and comfort with procurement analytics
• Bonus points:
  
  coatings, chemicals, paints, adhesives, or specialty materials background; CPSM, CPIM, or CSCP; a bachelor's in supply chain, business, chemistry, or chemical engineering

• Permanent US work authorization required; this role does not offer visa sponsorship
• $105,000 to $130,000 base, depending on experience
• 10% annual bonus
• Modest relocation assistance may be available for the right candidate
• On-site 5 days a week in Sheboygan, WI, with flexible hours
• Light travel, roughly 10% (occasional Georgia site visits plus supplier and customer audits)
