As the Automotive Detail Team Lead
, you will be responsible for both hands-on detailing work and leading daily operations of the detailing team.
- Lead, coach, and motivate a team of detailers to maintain high performance and morale
- Set daily priorities and assign work to ensure efficiency and deadlines are met
- Perform quality control checks to ensure all vehicles meet dealership standards
- Train new hires and continuously develop team members’ skills
- Partner with service, sales, and management teams to ensure smooth workflow
- Identify process improvements to increase speed, quality, and consistency
- Wash, wax, and buff vehicles to a high standard
- Clean interior and exterior windows, vacuum, and scrub interiors
- Detail engine bays and apply protective treatments
- Apply tire and trim dressing
- Utilize professional-grade cleaning products and tools
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Prior automotive detailing experience required
- Leadership or team lead experience preferred (or strong desire to grow into leadership)
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work
- Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and lead by example
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
- Positive, accountable, and results-driven mindset
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
