Location: Sheboygan, WI

FLSA: Exempt

Gabe's is in search of a Director of Construction for its Specialty Projects division who will work alongside our current Director through his transition to retirement in late 2027.

Job Summary

Under the general direction of the Chief Operating Officer, the Director of Construction, Specialty Projects will be responsible for leading the Specialty division to ensure safe, profitable, predictable, and scalable operational performance aligned with company goals and capacity. All efforts should be done in alignment with the strategic vision and core values of the company, and they are intended to support our continued commitment to the highest level of ethics, integrity, and excellence in all aspects of the company's operations.

Skills Required
  • Minimum of 10+ years of hands-on experience in Specialty Projects construction.
  • Proven track record managing large-scale Specialty Projects.
  • Deep understanding of Specialty Projects equipment, tooling, and techniques.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and plans
  • Knowledge of Specialty Projects planning and scheduling software
  • Familiarity with safety regulations related to Specialty Projects operations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams
  • Strong decision-making abilities under pressure
  • Ability to motivate and manage a large crew of Specialty Projects personnel
  • Budget management and cost control skills
