Pay: $24-25/hr
Shift: Monday-Thursday 5:00a-3:00p or 6:00a-4:00p
Location: Kiel, WI
Position Overview

The Skilled CNC Setup Operator will set up and operate CNC machines, perform production runs, inspect parts for quality, and support overall shop efficiency. This role works with a variety of machines and products based on customer needs while maintaining a safe, organized, and clean work environment.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Perform typical machine shop operations
  • Setup and operate CNC machinery and tooling
  • Read and interpret blueprints to manufacture parts accurately
  • Inspect machined products to ensure customer specifications are met
  • Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions
  • Complete and maintain production paperwork and documentation
  • Develop processes and tooling from blueprints
  • Perform preventive and routine machine maintenance
  • Train and assist new and current employees as needed
  • Operate forklifts to move materials and deliveries
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
Qualifications
  • Technical school certification OR 2-3 years of CNC setup experience in a machine shop environment required
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and recordkeeping
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with team members
  • Basic math skills including fractions and decimals
  • Commitment to safety procedures and company policies
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, kneel, and climb stairs/ladders
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Ability to work with small parts and measurement tools requiring close visual attention
  • Must be able to wear required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed boots

  • Manufacturing/machine shop environment
  • Exposure to dust, odors, fumes, and moving machinery
  • Heated and ventilated production floor
  • Team-oriented atmosphere working in close proximity to others
